"It's a Wonderful Life" Children's Book

Around the New Year, I love watching the movie "It's a Wonderful Life". For some reason, we've never really watched it right at Christmastime, but following; and it has always been one of my favorite go-to movies for a cozy winter night in on the couch. *Hot chocolate required*

This past summer, while browsing a yard sale, I spotted this jewel: (hardback...mint condition...I fell in love immediately...)

Did you know a children's version of the story had been made? Now, I will warn you that the book is a tad different than the movie, but that is usually how things go, right?
