Perfect Apple Dumplings

Making perfect apple dumplings does not have to be complicated! 
Anyone can make this recipe, and it is absolutely delicious!

2 Granny Smith Apples (Cored)
*Peeling is optional - depending on your preference.*
2 Cans of Crescent Roll Dough
1 Cup of Butter
1.5 Cups of White Sugar
1 Teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon
1 Can of 7-Up


Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish.

Cut apples in 8 wedges.
Roll each apple wedge in a triangle of crescent roll dough - starting from the smallest side and pinch a seal.

Place each roll-up in the greased baking dish

Melt butter, add sugar and cinnamon (and maybe a little nutmeg, if you like) and mix well - pouring this mixture over the dumplings.

Pour 7-Up in the baking dish.
(Mountain Dew...Sprite...those would work, too!)

Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve warm (with vanilla bean ice cream on top!).
