I posted it on my blog Facebook page the other day, and if you take the time to read it, I know you will be glad you did - and you will probably want to forward it to your ten closest friends. It is truly beautiful~
Just before kicking off this past week, hubby and I spent an evening hanging out by the firepit~ As much as we love our outdoor space, I am ashamed to admit that it is difficult for us to make ourselves head out there and relax in the evenings. We both have mile-long to-do lists that pull us toward staying busy rather than chilling out after the kids go to bed. On this night, we pretended like we had nothing to do and we just hung out and chatted outside. It was the best night we'd had in a long time. We definitely need to do this multiple times over this fall!
#5 - Pookie's Milestone:
I saved the best for last...couldn't help it~ Over last weekend, my little Pookie took his first steps. Such a bittersweet milestone for this mama...my heart tightens a little, but my back is looking forward to more and more independent steps in his future. So far, our children have not been on the petite side....ahem... P.S. Do you have silly little nicknames for your kids? Soon after my little Isaac was born, I started calling him Pookie....I have no clue where it came from, but it has kind of stuck...I hope I don't embarrass him someday...I probably will...
