Mommy Went Shopping for Herself

As a mom to two little ones, it is rare that I get a chance to shop - especially during the week - but someway, somehow - last week - I ended up in a few of my favorite stores, and I found a couple of gems I thought I would share with you.

Check out these metallic flip-flops from the Gap! They caught my eye right away, and they are super, super comfy! They have good support, and the straps do not cut in to my feet (They get extra points for that!). Thanks to some Gap perks, I was able to score these for $10. They also have them in gold, etc. so if you don't care for this color, check out their others.



I have a love/hate relationship with Old Navy. They have yet to create a bottom that fits my body type. Their prices have gone up while I find their quality to oftentimes be questionable, but I love this new top I grabbed while in there last week. I have already worn it - It is lightweight, cute, and comfy; and I have already washed it - and it did great in the wash! Still looks good as new.

We have been having gorgeous weather here lately (except for a little rain here and there), and I have found myself already wearing lightweight, comfortable skirts. In the spring, summer, and early fall, they work great for me - no matter what I have going on in my day. My favorites have actually been Merona brand- from Target. I usually avoid horizontal strips, but I thought this one they have was cute. Most of the casual/sporty ones I have been wearing have been solid in color.

I had a couple of Barnes & Noble gift cards, so while I was out and about, I also snatched up this duo - I hear these books are hilarious, and I am excited that they await me on my nightstand! I realize I'm a little late to the "Sparkly Green Earrings" party, but better late than never, right? *smile*
