Oftentimes, when you think of ABC Books, you think of books for little ones, but I have built a collection of books that spans from pre-k through upper elementary, and there may be a few gems from my stack of favorites that I share today that you would like to add to your collection.
A Is for Apple (Trace-and-Flip Fun!) - I love the interaction that this book provides.
They also offer a great one with numbers.
This is a great tool for teaching alliteration~
Shiver Me Letters: A Pirate ABC - This is currently a favorite around here. I think my kinds like when I try to talk like a pirate. It's actually quite scary...so maybe they're scared...I'm not sure.
You'll love this one! (They have 1-2-3 Peas - a number one - too!)
Is anything cuter than this?
Alphabet Rescue - This is a great one for little boys! I almost included it with my list of Truck & Transportation Books for Little Boys, but I wanted to save it for this post!
Antics! - This book is just plain cool! It is an alphabet book that includes Rembrant the ant (fand other fun ant characters) thinking up all kinds of words!
Alphabet City - This one is super neat! (Do the cool kids still say super neat? Did they ever say super neat?) Anyway, this book shows "letters" around the city!
Handsigns: A Sign Language Alphabet - I love, love, love this one! I think teaching at least the basic letter signs is so important, and I think this book helps to make it a fun experience!
Do your children ever practice their spelling words using letter signs? So fun!
Now, for a gorgeous book that is specific to the state in which I live!
However, these state alphabet books are available all over, so be sure to check out the one for your state!
