Last week, the weatherman predicted 3-10 inches of snow, and he was adamant that it would be closer to the 10 inch mark! I was so excited...I cranked up the Christmas music (Yes, I realize it was almost March.), and I was tempted to put up my Christmas tree.
However, I'm glad I held off on the holiday decor, because we only ended up with 3 inches...that melted pretty quickly, but we had fun while it lasted.
I love how freshly fallen snow makes everything look like this...
and this...
and this...
Living in the South has spoiled us - When a snowstorm comes, we never really have what we need to dress our children appropriately, so....we layer them up...
until they look like Ralphie...and then we head outside to play...
and build a snowman...
and throw some snowballs.
Then we head back inside for snow cream and hot chocolate...
...and a nap.
This was so cute . . . I love the "nap" part. It will all be melted soon enough!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so pretty!!! There's just something about snow that is so peaceful. But, we rarely get any so maybe it's because I don't have to deal with it! :)
ReplyDeleteI so wish we could join you in that beautiful snow for a day! My kids totally want to build a snowman! We are in Texas where snow is a very rare treat :)
