I am slowly but surely working my way through a stack of books that I have been planning to read for a long time. In my stack of reads, there are all different kinds of books: books on marriage...books on parenting...books related to faith topics/issues facing women/moms...a few fiction reads...and on and on it goes. I simply love to read!
In my stack of books to read there are 5 Parenting Books that I am looking forward to diving in to soon:
From what I have heard, this is an oldie but goodie. I have always appreciated Chuck Swindoll's ministry, and I feel like this book is full of incredible wisdom. I grabbed it off of Amazon for a couple of bucks, and I'm thinking it might just become one that I keep in my bookshelf to use as a reference in years to come.
I recently heard Gary Chapman speak, and when he mentioned this book, I thought it sounded excellent! I had never heard of it, and I was excited to grab a copy off of his book table.
My interactions with this material have always been related to working with students in classroom setting. I am looking forward to revisiting this book with my children in mind.
Just as above, the author of this book provided me with some incredible ideas for reaching the hearts of the children in my classroom, but I am excited to dive back in to this book and see what God wants to teach me regarding my own children.
This book was gifted to my husband, but I am looking forward to reading it as well! I have heard alot of great things about the author, and while I doubt some of his opinions would be widely accepted, it seems obvious that he is committed to a gospel-centered home.
