This holiday season, I am looking forward to creating all kinds of peppermint treats - as you can probably tell from my holiday Pinterest boards~
In addition to those goodies, I have a couple of other recipes that I know I will throw into the mix as well, and I thought I would share them with you today: my favorite cake mix cookie recipe as well as a super easy way to make red velvet brownie bars.
First up, I love these Chocolate Chip Cake Mix Cookies~ They are delicious!
Ingredients:
1 Box of Yellow Cake Mix
1/2 Cup of Butter
2 Eggs
1 Cup of Chocolate Chip (In our house, these means 1 full bag of chocolate chips.)
Grease up your pan and then bake these little gems for about 10 minutes on 350 degrees.
1 Box of Red Velvet Cake Mix
2 Tablespoons of Water
1/2 Cup of Oil
2 Eggs
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
I use a 9 x 14 pan - The batter spread out thin, but then bakes perfectly.
If you want them to be thicker, just use a smaller pan.
*You could add nuts to these babies, but that's not really my thing. If you like nuts in your brownies, go wild!*
As you've probably figured out, I like sweet and simple recipes - I doubt you will find me sharing many recipes that have more than just a few ingredients. Those Strawberry Hand Pies that I shared with you this summer just about sent me over the edge. They were delicious, but I am still recovering.
