In past years, I have never attempted to make fudge, but I was overwhelmed by the idea! I was positive that mine would not turn out, so I steered clear of any and all fudge recipes...praying that someone else would bring the fudge to the holiday parties...for me to enjoy, of course.
However, when I saw Pioneer Woman's Easy Peppermint Fudge Recipe, I decided to give it a try!
It really did look easy to do, and it was!
Begin with a bag of chocolate chips and a small can of sweetened condensed milk.
Melt the chocolate chips (all of them!) in your double boiler - stirring in the entire can of sweetened condensed milk.
Once this mixture is completely melted/stirred together, evenly pour it out in to a foil-lined pan.
I use a 9x13 pan or baking dish.
Top this mixture with a heaping helping of Andes Peppermint Crunch Baking Chips.
*You can also use crushed peppermints, but I like the softer texture of these baking chips.
Allow the fudge to sit in the fridge for a few hours (or overnight), then slice and serve...or eat yourself.
