Great Stuff for Your Family

Last year, our Sunday School teacher sent out an e-mail letting us know about an opportunity to subscribe to Focus on the Family's "Thriving Family" Magazine for free! If you know me, you know what word stood out to me - FREE! So, of course I signed up immediately and boy am I glad I did! It is the.best. magazine - filled with relevant tid-bits for families of faith. I love that this magazine includes information to benefit parents with children of all ages - babies, kids, teens, and young adults. They cover it all, but I shouldn't be surprised. Focus on the Family rarely disappoints!

Since I signed up for my free year, I've seen other opportunities for free or discounted subscriptions, so you'll have to check it out asap! I plan to stay on their distribution list for sure.

Thriving Family Magazine

I've also been wanting to tell you about the Jesus Storybook Bible! I first heard about this Bible when I was teaching in the elementary classroom, and I fell in love with it. A friend of mine gave me the complete set (Hardback Bible & CD) for a shower gift when Caleb was preparing to make his grand entrance, and I can not wait to share it with him. It's such a great resource, and I think you will love it, too!

I recently found Caleb another great Bible.

We have been reading through this one lately, and the rhyming patterns make it so much fun to read out loud to a little one.

One morning, however, my sweet boy started screaming bloody-murder as we began reading about John the Baptist. I'm not sure if he was scared of the locusts or if he doesn't like honey, but by the next day, he had warmed up to John. Whew~ What a relief!
