Highlights of 2014...So Far

Spending a Wintry Week with Family - The boys and I loved spending a week with my parents! They enjoyed sweet time with their grandparents, and I was treated to a little time to myself. It was fun to have the opportunity to go shopping (mid-day) all alone - However, I missed my little guys and only shopped for them. We moms are weird creatures.

Wedding Video - With the Snowstorm of 2014 hitting incredibly close to Valentine's Day, I wasn't so sure if hubby was going to be prepared. Was he prepared? Um...totally and completely prepared! He had been working - for several weeks - to put together a special video from our wedding. I promise not to bore you with the details, but it was one of the most thoughtful things anyone has ever done for me. I spent the evening of Valentine's Day in tears...happy tears...the happiest of tears.

Watching My Babies Sleep - From Caleb's very first night in my arms, I have loved watching him sleep. This year, I am so thankful to have two little boys to tuck in to bed. At night, I stand over their beds and pray for their salvation, their future friendships, their some-day families, and that they will always love their mama.

Singing "Happy Birthday" to my Brother - Time and time again, I have witnessed God's hand in my brother's life. Singing to him this year on his birthday was a very special reminder that life is a gift. Family is a gift. Hold your loved one's close and make sure they know how important they are to you.

Blog Mentorship Program - In February, I went through a Blog Mentorship program with Ashley from "The Vanilla Tulip". What an encourager this gal is, and I am excited about the impact she has made on this space.

Parenting Class - David and I are currently finishing up a parenting class that we've been attending at our church. It has been an exciting time for us as we have been challenged to be strategic and intentional in our roles as parents. We have created a family mission statement and designed various goals for what we want family life to look like in our household.

Painting the Garage with my Hubby - Okay, painting the garage isn't exactly a fun project, but getting to talk at with my hubby for an uninterrupted, extended period of time...I loved it!
