Fourth of July

Just in time for the Fourth of July, I have some sweet and simple ideas to make your casual holiday a little extra-special!

When it comes to the Fourth of July, I love finding foods that are patriotic in color and then I love the extra pizzazz of adding a few little red, white, and blue accents. 

Around here, we like to keep things casual - usually eating on decorative paper plates and enjoying the simplest of treats...like watermelon! Is anything better than watermelon?

I keep these kind of holiday accents (pictured above) - as well as cupcake liners, seasonal cookie cutters, holiday treat bags, etc. - organized in small plastic bins and stored in my kitchen. At very little cost to me, I found a great way to provide order when it comes to all of the seasonal items that I like to keep handy in the kitchen: $.88 Kitchen Organization.

Looking for another easy dessert? It doesn't get much easier than this Blueberry Cobbler, and I've never found a cobbler recipe that I love more!
